4 those who know me not, and that should be every1, I'm Michael Lane. Some may know me as The B.L.A.C.K. But he's just a part of who I am. Michael Lane is ALL of me. I do have many other sides of me (personalities) that is included in my muzik. Along with The B.L.A.C.K. (my hardcore street side), I have Mr. Doodie (my sexual & comedic side), Greg Corsby or Statue Of Liberty (my folk or country side), Cream (my stupid side), Yip Bad Elvis (my parodic side) & Ghostly (my fearful side). Put all these cast of characters 2gether & you get Michael Lane. This trip contains many genres from the Pop world. I experiment in2 Techno, Disco, Radio Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, House, Rock, Country, Folk & even Gospel. This is where I started. Not Hip Hop. But this muzik right here.
I started writing & playing muzik at about 5. As I was getting older, I gained a lot of weight. I was ridiculed by EVERY1 including family members. I was literally taught that I was fat, ugly & shouldn't live. But when I was caught attempting suicide, I heard the radio playing "You're Number One (In My Book)" by Gladys Knight & The Pips. I knew it was the spirit of muzik talking 2 me. It was then that I taught myself (at least 4 the most part) how 2 play guitar, drums & messed with the bass a little. Need more work on the bass. LOL! As Michael Lane, I can cover ALL grounds & subjects. I have personal muzik. But I also have songs people in & out of the norm can relate 2. Life as well as this world is very confusing. Questions with few answers. Love, sex, life & faith. That's what drives my muzik & our lives. Improtant note: I CANNOT SING! I MAKE NOISE!!! :) If you can't enjoy me, enjoy life. STAR!!!!!
