Travis Howe: Cleverly Disguised as an Animator!

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

If you're on this page, you probably know most of what I could put here, but I'll fill this out just to make you all happy :) I'm a Christian, a husband, a son, a brother, and a friend. Professionally, I'm an animator at Secret Level in San Francisco. Here's a little clip to give you an idea of what I do:

My Interests

I'm an avid animaiton enthusiast. I love spending time with the most wonderful person alive, my beautiful wife Nikki. My favorite hobbies are drawing, sculpting, creating 3D models in Maya (basically, doing ANYTHING in Maya), going for country drives (don't know if that's a hobbie), and snowboarding.

I'd like to meet:

Peter Jackson, The Wonder Twins, and Mike Wazowski!

Music:

I'll take anything with a good backbeat. I love songs that are uplifting (Like Explosive by Bond). T-Bone is my favorite rapper. I actually really like Eminem's style, but he's too raunchy for me. Recently, I've really been getting into soundtracks and scores of films. The Lord of the Rings trilogy has a great set of scores. "I am Lincoln" is the only good song from The Island soundtrack, but it's a REALLY good song.

Movies:

PIXAR!!! Anything that has a compelling story. My all time favorite Non animated (or only partially animated) movies are: The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Harry Potters 1, 3 & 4, Frequency, The Count of Monte Cristo, Pirates of the Caribbean (Only the first one, which is tragic, because Davey Jones was incredible, but the stories of 2 and 3 totally sucked), Ever After, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and all of those history of animation/Disney movies...

Television:

First Season of Lost was incredible!

Books:

Illusion of Life by Frank and Ollie, The Animator's Survival Kit by Richard Williams, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Harry Potter Series (creative, I know)

Heroes:

Jesus, first and foremost. Too many animation inspirations to name here (so I'll just call them all Dylan Brown), Mike Leonard (yes, an animator as well, but he's been the biggest help to me in getting into the industry) my parents, and my wonderful wife, Nikki!
