About Me

I am Michael T. Toran, Sr., and as CEO of Narot Publishing Company, I welcome you to our Myspace Page! My wife Joy and I founded Narot Publishing in 2008 to be the means by which the world can hear the voices of a new generation of writers. Although some may believe that our vision for this company is unachievable or grandiose, we intend to be a thunderous, resounding presence in the publishing industry. We are not deterred by today's economy, for we believe in the manifestation of dreams and in the entrepreneurial spirit.
We are guided by these words from the Holy Bible:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)
The process of creative work traveling down the canal of thought ... The question for me is also directed to you, the listener: Are you Man Made, Self Made, or Creator Made?
I realize that the travails of life are sometimes seismic and empty but if you reach into the core of your cipher, the person you've been created to be, you shall rise to your designed destiny.
My first book, "Cipher Poetry," was released on January 20, 2009 (timed to coincide with the inauguration of President Barack Obama). My second book, "Crescendo," will be released within the next few months. For more information about "Cipher Poetry" or to read several of my poems in their entirety, please visit my Web site: http://www.narotpublishing.com. The cost of "Cipher Poetry," a high-quality, paperback book, is $16.95 plus $3.05 shipping/handling ($20 total) to addresses in the U.S.A. For more information, contact me at [email protected].
In addition to my books, I also write a weekly column entitled "A Servant's Heart" for PrisonPaper.com. This site, managed by Jason Sicore, provides quality products and services to inmates and their friends and families. Jason and his staff understand the unique challenges faced by families when a loved one is imprisoned. Their products and services are geared to helping these families in their time of need. "A Servant's Heart" is written to offer encouragement and guidance for those who are incarcerated and for the loved ones from whom they are separated. Go to http://www.PrisonPaper.com to read the current column, or to my Web site, http://www.narotpublishing.com/a_servant's_heart.htm, to read my archived columns.
I am just a man looking for The Dream, The Destiny, and The Vision.
Humbly----Peace, Michael T. Toran, Sr., Author of "Cipher Poetry"

The above story ran on Erie Pennsylvania’s News Center 12 eleven o’clock broadcast on September 11th 2006 when the “Cipher Poetry” project, then called “Poetry From Within the Cipher,” was just in the beginning stages. “Battle Ready” was one of the first poems created by Michael Toran Sr. and at the time was a way to comfort local families who had lost a loved one in battle. Now it is part of an array of poems with each one touching you in a different way than the other and just as deep as “Battle Ready.”
In the desert
Fighting for the freedom of my country
No more 911 on my watch I'm at the Battle Ready
The pay is not why I do ths
The status is not why I do this
In a foreign land where everyday I wake upis a blessing from the Sovereign God
The medals nor accolades is not why I do this
Acceptance not always a guarantee from my own countrymen
Deep down, it's something I cannot explain
Love for this country the valor...honor
even the risk. No time for tears but Battle Ready.
My dog tags swing around my neck.
A reminder this is a way to be identified if I'm on the list of casualties
America wake up
Congress wake up
Commander and Chief wake up
To the men and women fighting for your precious freedom...Wake Up
Battle Ready that's what we are
Battle Ready with the task at hand.We are Battle Ready
I give my life for those names I dont even know,
for the babies being born at this hour for the cause to
allow America to stand.....
I endure so America can stand..
To the loved ones of my fellow fallen soldiers Who were atThe Battle Ready---
Lets celebrate and be proud of their
courage and strenth armor bearers
for the Great USA!
Let the tears flow but know their honor and duty was
carried out to the end..
A flag is not enough but a moment of silence to all fallen
soldiers, the unknown, and prisoners of war
past, present and future ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ..........................
Thank you America--We love you
But now it's time for me to get back to my post soI will be at the ready to defend the freedomyou enjoy!
REFLECTION
Exemplified in Unselfishness!
