I lived in the mid-west until my retirement. At this time I re-located to Virginia Beach and have found the area to be an endless source of new subject matter for my art.
I spent my professional career in the highly regulated field of blood banking and transfusion medicine. I have always loved the creative process but due to work and family commitments, had little time to paint. My children are now grown and I am once again free to create.Painting gives me a sense of freedom never felt during my professional life. I never grow weary of seeing a look of pleasure on the face of someone looking at my work.
My mediums of choice are watercolor and acrylic, doing landscapes, cityscapes, flowers and still life arrangements. I enjoy experimenting with new styles and media. Most of my art is representational, but I also do abstracts and impressionistic work. My paintings have been in numerous juried exhibitions, won awards, and can be found in both private and corporate collections.
I have met some wonderful people since moving to Virginia and consider myself to be quite fortunate.
