Am I supposed to be a new person?

About Me

I walk down a street and there's a big hole. I don't see it and fall into it. It's dark and hopeless and it takes me a long time to find my way out. It's not my fault!I walk down the same street. There's a big hole and I can see it, but I still fall in. It's dark and hopeless and it takes me a long time to get out. It's still not my fault.I walk down a street. There's a big hole. I can see it, but I still fall in. It's become a habit. But I keep my eyes open and get out immediately. It is my fault.I walk down a street. There's a big hole. And I walk around it.I walk down a different street.

I'd like to meet:

People. I've been fortunate enough to be introduced to many new people but very rarely do I get the opportunity to grow those new friendships beyond the "Hey, how you doing?". These last few weekends have to proven to me that I've been very wrong in choosing not to. So I look forward to meeting new people and connecting with them on level beyond "people I know" and keeping the connections I do make.

Music:

I like country music. That's for one person and she knows who she is.

Movies:

Movies have always been a big part of my life. I mean a collection hanging on the wall is proof of that. I can watch pretty much anything it just depends on how I'm feeling at the moment. Yes that even includes chick flicks and if you know me you know that I'm a huge sucker for musicals. Even shitty ones, that's right I loved "Rent". If someone is singing I'll be watching it.I actually haven't seen many movies in the theater lately but current events leave me with ALOT of free time. I'll probably be going out to the movies more often so if you feel like seeing something, give me a call.

Television:

I love to learn about stuff and laugh, so my TV tastes really run between The History Channel and Comedy Central. I find it interesting to see how people lived centuries ago or how things are made or even the history of the hot dog excuse me the frankfurter. At the same time I can sit and watch comedians all day long. I'm just fascinated that someone can get up in front of an audience and have the confidence to make that audience laugh.

Books:

Been to the bookstore quite a bit lately. Last time I walked out with a book that I kept on coming back to. "Awakening the Buddha Within" by Lama Surya Das has been an amazing read and has really opened my eyes to finding something that I've been missing. I've also bought something that I've put off for years. Since I plan on going to Japan I'm going to learn japanese.

Heroes:

People. How can you have just a few heroes when there are so many men, women, and children out there that just forget about themselves and sacrifice for the greater good of mankind? I do believe that each of us has the ability to become a hero to someone else, go out there and try it.

I like to read

It's amazing how you can walk into a book store when you know you're missing something and a book can just jump up at you. I bought a book not too long ago that did just that. Actually someone picked ...
