Javier BavieraBorn in Mexico City, where he studied music at the Escuela Superior de Musica, saxophone player, Javier Becerra, is a founding member of the experimental avant -garde group "Decibel" which released a number of records, most notably: "El poeta del Ruido" (1979) and "Fait Lux" The Complete Recordings"1977-2000. (2000), also participated on the "Recommended Records Sampler"(1982) alongside The Residents,Robert Wyatt, Art Zoyd and Univers Zero.In the early 80's he was a the forefront of Mexico City..s punk rock scene with his band Rebel..d Punk, later on Becerra formed Hospital X as a more personal outlet, staging a one man show with tapes loops and live P.A., strongly influenced by the then happening industrial scene. Xavier has collaborated with several musicians and groups to create a very rich body of work, from Motorcycle Boy, Supergrass and Mad Juana feat. Sami Yaffa (Hanoi Rocks) and shared stage in NYC at the Mercury Lounge with Jeff Buckley, Cat Power, Kid Congo, a constant fixture in the Williamsburg underground scene.Nowadays Xavier Becerra spends his time working between New York City and Mexico City where he has worked with Walter Schmidt and Arthur Henry Fork, the electronic music outfit with roots in avantgarde jazz, electroacustic music and improvisation. Their approach towards music has always tended for the unorthodox, studying the traditional only to later be able to destroy it. Participated at one Mexico..s most prestigious Electronic Music and Multimedia Arts Festival “Tecnogeist” sharing stage with the likes of Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tosca, Buscemi and Julie Cruise of David Lynch fame. Recently presented his on going project "El Trio Municipal" at Festival de Ecatepec Mexico and Yucatan Free Jazz Festival

Sounds Like: The heroic days of the noise machines ended after the first world war. Russolo sustained serious head injuries during the war and after a long convalescence left Italy and moved to Paris where he carried out subsequent elaboration's on the Noise Machines. His concerts during the 1920's in the city still caused fierce controversy but also impressed several outstanding composers such as Milhaud, Ravel, Honegger and the future prophet of the avant garde Edgard varèse
