About Me

We are the music makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;— World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems...

My Interests

pretty broad I guess....I suppose I can start more easily by saying that I know what I'm really NOT into...first thing that pops into my head is ridiculous reality television shows (my sister just happened to be watching one next to me...but only she could stand so much)....i guess I'm really not a tv person at all for that matter...i always kinda stuck to one or maybe two shows that I deemed worthy of my time....at one time it was X-Files, at another "OZ", now it's Rome....(and of course the Sopranos..hey I'm still from Jersey)....Sometimes I do need to veg out and I'll find somethin' random on the tube escape into and during those times I'll bounce sporadically from the Comedy Channel to the History Channel and then to VH1 or some such music channel which still occasionally has the gall to air something even remotely related to music (MTV -you have let down the generation which birthed you -for shame!!)ok....as you can tell, I can be pretty Irish when I launch into something...gift o' gab is a curse as much as a blessin'....so perhaps I'll just end with a little list...(like on my hotornot page ...don't ask!)interests:anything Celtic, Irish, Gaelic, Gallic or even remotely related to pagan Europe history in general (though ancient Europe really turns me on...oooo baby....) oh yes....I AM a dork!! it's officialwhat else: excercise/staying fit -lifting weights, core training, martial arts and all that shite not acquiring any new addictions in addition to caffeine eating healthy in general and takin' all those wacky supplements...i shouldbuy stock in Vitamin Shoppe... music -it is my inspiration, my salvation and my sustenance...i shudder to think what I would be without music.... playing an instrument....heeh.....you'll have to ask, though if yer smart you'll be able to guess porn...kidding....or am i.... literature....i wuv books. period.

I'd like to meet:

another one of my favorites by this group...definitely brings out the Pagan in me...LOVE this movie....this one goes out to the rich and pampered...all of those who think that life is simply about finding more expensive ways of entertaining themselves in their playpens....

Music:

Should I assault you guys with my musical tastes the minute you access my page? Vengeance would be mine indeed! Though I would prefer to think of it as a little tough love....I relish the thought of indoctrinating the uninitiated...And by the same token being indoctrinated by those who are know more kickass bands than I do...Firstoff...let's start this the way I initially had planned.... .. href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank".. LED FUCKING ZEPPELINI could stop there...for that band to me literally is the alpha and omega....but perhaps thats the way I USED to think, literally...for the longest time I didn't give any other band outside of the Zeppelin era (to which other cohorts in aural pillaging such as Hendrix, the Stones, the WHO, Pink Floyd, Yes and the Allman Brothers belong) besides that one credit for contributing to the world of rock ...but since then I have learned....and I guess, since highschool, I have delved deeper into those bands that received the torch from the likes of Zeppelin, Floyd and Sabbath........Alice in Chains.....first "current" band I ever got into back in highschoolMetallica....resisted repeated attempts by friends to convert me...eventually I succumbed to the glory and majesty that was Master of Puppets... (what happened to these guys anyway??!!)Megadeth....now one of my all time favorite bands....Dave Mustaine is a demigod target="_blank"Type O Negative...just getting over a long spell of intense Type O addiction..hey, with all the Halloween hub-bub, can you blame me? truly, these guys have thier finger on the pulse of good music though...influenced as much by the Beatles, Floyd and Zeppelin as they were Sabbath, the Misfits and Satan border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"Tool.....light years ahead of most other bands...not only as far as thier musicianship, but thier themes and ideas....they are visionaries..Nine Inch Nails...Trent speaks the thoughts of the soul's nightOpeth....from Sweden...I think that imbues them with sick musical talent right from birth...these guys have mastered pretty much every style of rock/metal and are ballsy enough to write ten minute long epics that display thier eclectic tastes (and apparently their music inspires some beautiful photography/artwork) Meshuggah...off the wall musicians, again from Sweden, who are adept at transporting you to some alien post-apocolyptic universe, where the memory of a peacefull existence comes through in jagged shards of dreams...fuckin' heavy!!!Black Sabbath...a no brainer.....Clutch...a fun band i can only describe as a red-neck infused funk-core, with lead singer as charasmatic as a fire-breathin' Pentacostal preacher on a mission to rock... what infectious grooves this band has... ..some other heavy shit...Down, Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, Isis, Faith No More, Pro-Pain, Pantera....then.......my softer side......U2....can't say enough about these guys..what poets, what dreamers, what quintessential rock starslove the blues too...and Irish traditional ...and ...hehe OLD black music...when people played instruments, when there was spontaneity and originality in the music, when the music had more to do with what came from the heart than with what was in someone's pants.....when the music had soul...

Heroes:

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)BANNOCKBURNby: Robert Burns (1759-1796)T Bannockburn the English lay,-- The Scots they were na far away, But waited for the break o' day That glinted in the east. But soon the sun broke through the heath And lighted up that field of death, When Bruce, wi' saul-inspiring breath, His heralds thus addressed:-- "Scots, wha hae wi' Wallace bled-- Scots, wham Bruce has aften led-- Welcome to your gory bed. Or to victorie! "Now's the day, and now's the hour; See the front o' battle lower; See approach proud Edward's power-- Chains and slaverie! "Wha will be a traitor knave? Wha can fill a coward's grave? Wha sae base as be a slave? Let him turn and flee! "Wha for Scotland's king and law Freedom's sword will strongly draw, Freeman stand or freeman fa'-- Let him follow me! "By Oppression's woes and pains! By your sons in servile chains! We will drain our dearest veins, But they shall be free! "Lay the proud usurpers low! Tyrants fall in every foe! Liberty's in every blow! Let us do or die!"
