Early one summer, Pierce, Nigel, Clapsbury and Reggy united their musical prowess in the form of a rock and roll band. Pierce and Nigel had been collaborating together since 2002 and were dire need of a new sound and a new rhythm section. Pierce contacted his long-time high school friends, Reggy and Clapsbury, to jam and see what they could all come up with.
Needless to say, the incendiary tones heard by those four gentlemen that day were nothing short of fate itself resonating in the very walls that enclosed them.
The rest was history – “The Cunninghams†were born.
To date, The Cunninghams have had quite a ride. Winning the Mazda Muzik Tour Contest in April 2008 gave them the opportunity to open for Sam Roberts Band at The Opera House in Toronto (for more information – click on the Fazer link in "Articles About Us"), as well as record their debut single “Black and White†at the prestigious Phase One Studios in Toronto, Canada.
Following this remarkable experience, The Cunninghams entered Machinehead Studios in June 2008 to record 5 more songs, and finish their debut EP. The Cunninghams EP can be downloaded for free - CLICK HERE .
Currently, The Cunninghams are in the process of organizing a small tour across Southern Ontario in September and October – hitting University towns to spread the Cunninghams vibe.
But the only true way to experience and really feel The Cunninghams is to see them live in concert, and touch them.
