ABOUT Bernandino:

C.E.O and founder of the “Respetame Movement”, BERNANDINO, has been earning his spot amongst the elite of La Musica Urbana his entire life. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico and raised in the Lower East Side of New York City, BERNANDINO has earned his respect in every aspect of his life. Whether it be, hustling in the streets, in the music industry or volunteering in soup kitchens throughout the city BERNANDINO has always been a force that demanded respect. BERNANDINO first started entertaining crowds in Comedy Clubs throughout NYC such as the world famous Village Gate, and Caroline’s. Although he found success in that arena his passion was always in music, so much so that he gained instant notoriety for his appearance in the hood classic Beef DVD alongside his lifelong friend Tru Life uttering the classic line, “Wanna Strip for Me?”
With the emergence of Reggeaton and Musica Urbana, BERNANDINO saw the opportunity to blend his musical talent, charisma, life experience, and passion into what he coined the “Respetame Movement”. Entirely on his own, BERNANDINO’S music and work ethic has created an unparallel buzz worthy of respect. He has showcased at the Hip Hop Conference in Puerto Rico, as well as done Radio interviews and performances at clubs in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida, Atlanta, and Canada. BERNANDINO also a ringtone deal with Barrio Mobile and a feature with Gina Thompson who has worked with industry heavyweights like (Missy Elliot, P.Diddy, & Beanie Sigel,) called “No More”, which has been getting steady airplay throughout the country including La Mega 97.9 in New York.
Under the production of DJ Napoles who has worked with the likes of (Tego Calderon, Notch, Fragment Crew, DLG, Pit Bull, and Zion) BERNANDINO has created a unique sound that incorporates his musical influences with his life experience. BERNANDINO quotes “I make music that tells the story of people in the struggle because I know firsthand what it’s like to go through it. I look forward to collaborating with other artists and making the kind of music that the people want to hear”.
