SURVIVAL HAS BEEN ACQUIRED BY YORK ENTERTAINMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION!
Here's the video taken at the Anderson, SC premiere of SURVIVAL in November!Shot on DV in the summer heat of North Carolina in 2006, Survival is a no budget horror movie directed by Joe Francis and written by Joe Francis and Kevin Woods.
Channeling their love for 70's and 80's trash horror, Francis and Woods created their own vision of what could have been released on VHS had it been created in 1983. Survival borrows all the elements genre fans love while mixing it with their own dirty little thoughts creating what horror-movies.ca calls "..a real fan letter to all of the classic grindhouse cinema.."
Look for it next year on store shelves for purchase...
Here's what the critics had to say about SURVIVAL...
"So it didn't cost a few million bucks and feature every actor from the WB, it did pack a fun punch and was one of the best backyard films I have ever seen."
The Remote Junkies
"Writer/director Joe Francis and co-writer/producer Kevin Woods made a professional looking film that was better than some Hollywood flick's I've seen. They have a love for the genre and filmmaking in general, and it showed. With a bigger budget and a studio to back them up, these guys would be phenomenal. Props!"
Joblo/Arrow In The Head
"Survival is a prime example of what can be done today in a horror film. We do not have any of this PG-13 jump scare bullshit, it is horror the way it was meant to be."
The Coroner's Report
"The music and scoring was perfect for the film. I am so excited to see where this film goes from here."
Vanelle 'Lauren Jundi'
"...quite frankly Francis and his team did this one the real grindhouse way. No name actors, blood and of course the maniac family. This is a real fan letter to all of the classic grindhouse cinema. Despite its very low budget believe it or not this is one damn good movie."
