A little bit (a lot?) of everthing.Love me some Latin music in all genres: Buena Vista Social Club, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Olga Tanon, Piazzola, Eddie Palmieri, DLG, Alejandro Fernandez, Chayenne, Perez Prado, Gypsy Kings, Paco de Lucia, Desi Arnaz, Afro-cuban All Stars, Spanish Harlem Orquestra, Victor Manuelle, Marc Anthony, Juanes, Ry Cooder, Estrellas de Arieto, Willie Bobo, Sergio Mendes, any Salsa, merengue, cumbia or raeggaeton...the list goes on and on. If you can dance to it, I'm in...Jazz/Blues: Big band, 1920s-40s, all the great vocalists (Etta, Ella, Sarah, Billie, Carmen, Dinah, Nina, Louie, Frank, BB, et al), instrumentalists/Band leaders (Benny, Monk, Miles, Bird,Ellington, Krall, boz skaggs, muddy waters, johnny lang etc etc ad nauseum), michael buble, lambert hendricks & ross, and so forth. Good combos from any era is always classic.'Popular'/Rock music: U2, Coldplay, Aerosmith, G 'n R, Bon Jovi, the Darkness, Rusted Root, Sarah McLachlan, Cake, Def Leppard, Outkast, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, old school Michael Jackson, Beatles, Stones, Clapton, Rammstein, the Cure, the Killers, Maroon 5, billy idol, pink martini, Classic Rock in general, guitars especially...And, yes, 'cause I'm a music nerd: Granados, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Chopin, Beethoven, Bizet, Villa-Lobos, Duparc, Britten, Rossini, Verdi, Mozart, Debussy, Satie, Mahler, Wagner just to name some favorites.I also have a random collection of world music: Rai, African/Latin drums, bagpipers, australian digiridoos, and so forth. I mean -- as a musician, I am constantly broadening my musical horizons, I guess. And, I have some great musician friends, too!

Television:
South Park is freaking hilarious. As is Robot Chicken. I have a mini-addiction LOST, NCIS and CSI (but only the original CSI). My dad got me started on "My name is earl". And I adore The Sopranos and Six Feet Under, but I have to netflix them. And Arrested Development. . . RIP.
Books:
Historical fiction, travel guides, armchair travel, foreign literature, comparitive religion. Bible; LOTR; "outlander" books; Isabel Allende.
