Doin' TimeDJ Dance Music + Live Percussion = An AMAZING show!
Growing up having a drummer for a father, I always had music beats flowing through me. I was never formally trained as a drummer, rather I learned by watching my dad as he played in bands for several years. Unfortunately, I never put in the necessary time to perfect my craft, and eventually put music aside completely to pursue other interests. Now, well into my adulthood, I'm finally making the time to resurrect my love of playing music, percussion instruments in particular. Still lacking formal training, I've been called a "natural", and with encouragement from several friends I am now enjoying performing with my hand drums. Congas and the cajon are my favorites. I play by instinct and feel. I absolutely love music, and simply cannot imagine living without it.
I have performed on stage with my awesome musician friends Joey Peate, Pi, Lauren Brooks and Justin Riner of Loverlee, DJ Chile, DJ Ecto1, DJ B-Reul, Ellavation, 8Stops7, Cosolive, The Situation, and the Sound Effect Band at venues and events such as The Gig, Rainbow Bar, and Pig 'N Whistle in Hollywood, Candlelight Kitchen & Bar, Capistrano's, Rock City Studios, Bombay Bar & Grill, Borderline Bar & Grill, The Good Bar, Sans Souci, Billy O's, Sunset Terrace, Rock The Cure, Conejo Valley Days, the Fillmore May Festival, and Moorpark College Evening of Dance. I don't aspire to make a living performing, rather I am just having fun, enjoying the opportunity to play live music every chance I get! If you'd like me to jam with you sometime, send me a message or drop me a comment... I'm always up for playing with new musicians!
Many, many thanks to my good friend Joey Peate, for it was him that made all of this possible. He was the one who got me started by giving me my very first opportunity to perform on stage with him back in June of 2006, and even provided the drums to do so. Thanks, Joey... you ROCK, man! :O)
