YARROW COVEN ANNOUNCES 17TH ANNUAL PAGAN PICNIC
AT TOWER GROVE PARK, ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI
Yarrow Coven announces 17th Annual Pagan Picnic, to be held at Tower Grove Park, St. Louis,
Missouri. This year's Picnic will kick off at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13th, 2009 with an opening
ritual performed by Spirit Awakening.
Following opening ritual, Picnic will be in full swing with events for all ages, including workshops for
children and adults alike. Seventy or more vendors are expected for this year's Vendor Row, and a
wide range of foods will be available, including returning favorites Tango of Argentina and Sweet
Meats. A full schedule of regional performers including singers, poets, bands, and belly dancers will
grace our Bardic Circle with their talents, including Joia, Morning Vision blue, Bellawyck, Sede, Jenn
Lutke, and Shoca. Western Gate Ampgard will be presenting their brand of live-action role-play in
the open fields of the park. And for the third year, a series of special guests will be joining us,
including Ellen Dugan, M.R. Sellars, Dorothy Morrison, Mickie Mueller, Terry Hinkle, River and
Joyce Higginbotham, Mike Nichols, Tish Owen, and Lyon.
Events will continue on Sunday, June 14th, 2009 beginning at 10 a.m., with a closing ritual to end the
event at 3 p.m.
St. Louis Pagan Picnic is one of the longest-running events of its kind in the Midwest. More than
three thousand attendees partake of the event each year. The entire metropolitan community is invited
to attend and participate in workshops and rituals, enjoy the entertainment in the Bardic Circle,
purchase unique items from our vendors, and have the chance to learn a little about Pagan traditions
and practices.
St. Louis Pagan Picnic is sponsored by Yarrow Coven and supported through the generous donations of
its attendees and the community. St. Louis Pagan Picnic is a drug- and alcohol-free event.
VENDORS: Please download your vendor packets from our website at www.paganpicnic.org , all the forms you need are available online and you can just print them off and mail them in.
Picnic is looking for volunteers, workshop and ritual presenters, bardic circle performs, raffle donations, and vendors. You can contact each of these departments through our website listed above.
