I am here for Friends

About Me

My name's Zach. Yay for me.I sit and play video games, do jigsaw puzzles, hang out with friends, eat, watch TiVo religiously, and absolutely love to sing. I write my own music and plan on attending NAU on a vocal music scholarship in the Fall of 2008. I intend to major in vocal performance and do whatever pleases me vocally after college, whether it be singing in a group (like Rockapella) or soloistic jazz. ..
Insight on religion:
"You don't believe in God because of Alice in Wonderland?"
No, "Through the Looking Glass". That poem, "The Walrus and the Carpenter" that's an indictment of organized religion. The walrus, with his girth and his good nature, he obviously represents either Buddha, or... or with his tusk, the Hindu elephant god, Lord Ganesha. That takes care of your Eastern religions. Now the carpenter, which is an obvious reference to Jesus Christ, who was raised a carpenter's son, he represents the Western religions. Now in the poem, what do they do... what do they do? They... They dupe all these oysters into following them and then proceed to shuck and devour the helpless creatures en masse. I don't know what that says to you, but to me it says that following these faiths based on mythological figures ensure the destruction of one's inner-being. Organized religion destroys who we are by inhibiting our actions... by inhibiting our decisions, out of fear of some intangible parent figure who shakes a finger at us from thousands of years ago and says, "Do it - Do it and I'll fuckin' spank you."

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Ken Kutaragi... so I can laugh in his face and make fun of him for believing the PS3 would do well... then proceed to kick him in the nizzuts.

My Blog

Animosity.

At some point, life hits you like a semi speeding down the mountain in Black Canyon City. I thought I was done with everything. I was a good boy and got through the musical show with a smile on my fac...

Cacophony.

As my senior year nears its end, I've come to realize that life is a lot more complicated than I previously imagined it to be. I'm not saying, by any means, that I'm not looking forward to resp...

It’s beginning to look a lot like... Christmas?

The toys are in every store, but it suddenly feels like I'm too old to enjoy Christmas anymore. Sure, there's Christmas music, and the food, family, gift-giving and gift-getting, etc. etc., but I'm no...

Deception.

It doesn't particularly come as a huge shock that the instant Septmeber is over, I'm already feeling better. I can honestly say that I don't know what it is about the damned month. Early morning pract...

Alright...

Is anybody else a little pissed at Doc after today? He claims that he feeds off of our energy, which is actually the opposite. We do what he tells us to, so therefore, we feed off of his. I don't quit...

For the life of me...

For the life of me, I can't exactly wrap my head around how all of these dumbasses at school can somehow pull through and present a senior persuasive essay and graduate afterwards, when I'm hav...

Brief Military Rant

Before reading ahead, just know that I'm not anti-military, or anything. I don't specifically plan on ever joining the US Military, but I admire what our troops are doing for us around the world. Anyw...

Hold your horses.

I didn't come on here to write up some excruciatingly lengthy post, mind you. So put your reading glasses and monocles away. I'm only here to share my newest music pieces with you. I've reco...

The mind is a complex thing...

Contrary to popular belief, I'm not quite as emo as I make myself sound in this blog.   It's just that recently, I don't know. I've been hiding my crappy feelings and thoughts with jokes a...

I really shouldn't have.

Seriously. I just read my last Blog entry, and it kind scared me. I'm pretty sure that somewhere between the "I guess it's just the feeling you get when the little things in your head ...
