I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm more of an eccentric, less mainstream. I am shy sometimes, introverted especially around strangers. I'm not trendy usually. I'm nice. My family-- we're all artsy-fartsy. I'm attempting to go to grad school. This is a bit intimidating because I've been out of school for over 6 years. Austin drivers suck. I yell at them. Treadmills suck, they makes me seasick. You know what I'm talking about, when you step off the treadmill and start to spin and almost hit the wall.I love traveling, I do it a lot. I have family all over the US and I've backpacked through most of Europe. I've been scuba diving in Central America and tromping through the snow in Canada. I won't be done until I conquer the world or get my own tv show on the Travel Channel.I laugh a lot, mostly at other people. I have degree in Psychology and people ask me if I can analyze them, to which I say--No, I can't psychoanalyze anyone, but it doesn't take a genius to know when someone's a psycho. I grew up in Hawaii and it is everything people imagine it to be...jealous. Did I mention that I'm nice. ...yeah... .contactTable {

My Interests

Music, peanut butter, kicking ass (NOT kissing), kissing, dancing like a maniac on the floor, reading, crossword puzzles, baking cookies, Google, yoga, SCUBA, beaches (even Galveston), running, my bed, drinking vodka and eating chocolate although not necessarily at the same time, tortillas and NPR-(now I feel old).

I'd like to meet:

Anyone on the short bus to hell and whose college degree is also collecting dust on the shelf.

Music:

I'm just a rock girl. Music is good when it evokes some king of emotion out of you, who cares about other people's (pretentious) opinions. I am a dancing ma'chine... Who am I kidding, I'm a total 80's freak. I was rockin out to Retro Rage at Paradorks every weekend back in college (before it went to shit).

Movies:

Alien/Aliens (NOT the others- puh-lease), Labyrinth, Beetlejuice, Goonies, Weird Science, Donnie Darko, a couple of those cheezy chick flicks, Kundun, Babe, Wallace & Gromit, Dracula, White Christmas...

Television:

LOST, Travel Channel-especially Great Hotels with Samantha Brown-she's the bomb and I want her job. I like watching Alien when it's on tv every other weekend, I love the 80's/90's, The X-Files. Does anyone remember Buck Rogers? BidiBidiBidi...I don't have cable anymore, by the way. It sucks, but I'd like to believe that it makes me more productive. At least I can't blame the tv if I'm wasting my life away.

Books:

Eva Luna, East of Eden, Count of Monte Cristo, Why People Believe Weird Things, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Rainbow Goblins, Dracula, Historian, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Eragon/Eldest-the movie suuucked though. ART: I like vintage prints/graphics, especially ones of Hawaii. Faeries (Brian Froud), Gustav Klimpt, my mom's art. I've been to the Louve which is amazing, the Ufizi and the Vatican-there is a plethora of artifacts there. Would love to go back...WILL go back.

Heroes:

Leona Helmsley...what a bitch..

Sunset Valley Police

Can anyone tell me what the point of the Sunset Valley Police Dept. is?  It couldn't be just to sit at the one stop sign in their jurisdiction to hand out tickets.  Or cruise up and down Jon...

Eat Fresh

I went to Subway today (I didn't have much of a selection where I was).  You know how they're stingy with some of their veggies like olives for instance.  Well today I got a small turkey san...

Snakes on a Plane

The title alone is getting it tons of publicity.  My question is where did the snakes come from?  The plane is flying from Hawaii to California, and hundreds of snakes were smuggled on to th...
