The group have been playing together since 2006 with Byron and Guy being the longest standing members. Max and Norman joined in the early part of 2007. This band play primarily for the love of the music and have been seen at houseparties around Cape Town as well as a run of gigs at the now deceased Acoustic Cafe. Their music is a well kept secret on the Cape Town
scene but has met with enthusiasm wherever they have been.
Guy has previously played in various bands, most notably Billygoat.
This band appeared at the major rock festivals in South Africa with a
number of performances at Oppikoppi and produced two albums, Drawl and
Sister Moon. Guy has also played with Valiant Swart, Starkravingsane, Delta Blue, Hot Water as well as guested on albums by Valiant, Starkravingsane and Hot Water.
Byron and Max have both studied jazz at the University of Cape Town music school. They are both sought after session musos on the Cape Town scene, both being members of Starkravingsane and part of the cast of musicians in Hot Water. Max also plays in LMR Trio, a voice, guitar and percussion project.
Norman is the dark horse. An Irishman with a remarkable voice, bodran and whistle player and until recently played piano only at home and in breaktimes at his day job, Drama and English teacher at Constantia Waldorf School. He then was called up for duty in Hot Water and has subsequently taken his playing to a new level. Who says you can't teach an old dog...
