Skip this. I'm a fountain of raging indifference. I do like hiking, though. And every once in awhile, I scrape the dust off my bass and assert that I haven't totally lost my ability.
Other ogres?
Funk/Soul shit from the late 60's to the early 80's gets me. There's always room in my heart for pure, shameless metal. I grew up on a diet of Zeppelin and Hendrix, and I stick by it. I have at least something from every genre but ska and polka somewhere, and I do listen to it all.
To be clear, I'm not one of those people who claims to like all music... I'm picky as shit. Different brands for different moods, that's all.
I dig Terry Gilliam flicks. 80's post-apocalyptic films. A Life Aquatic. Eternal Sunshine. Die Hard. Various big epic type films. Whatever I find on TV... I like to be surprised. I eagerly await Indiana Jones 4, and the end of Arnold's governor gig so he can make Conan 3.
Alton Brown. Food science is fascinating.
I read what I have to, and I have to read nonstop most of the time. I've read Bjarne Stroustrup's The C++ Programming Language cover-to-cover multiple times, in multiple editions, because I needed to know that shit for work. I wouldn't waste 2 seconds on Moby Dick. That's just me.
I've also read every issue of Discover magazine from the past decade or so. It's one of the few things I read just because I want to.
Indiana Jones. No shit. When I was a kid, I wanted to be Indiana Jones.
I kinda still do, but last time I tried playing with a bull whip I slashed a chunk out of the back of my leg. Fuckin' hurt.
