Fueled by the perfect mixture of anger, hate, and depression, comes the promising young artist Morfeen. Loved by few and hated by many, Morfeen is surrounded by controversy due to ruthless lyrics involving murder, suicide, and drugs among other gorey subjects. Though he has gathered a fanbase, very few truly know the story that spawned this spiteful character.Raised in a violence ridden-drug plagued household, he was left with very few positive influences. Abandoned by both parents by the age of 15, he began selling drugs to make a living. "I was young and always alone with nothing but dealers and gang members as friends. What the fuck do you expect me to become?" says Morfeen. After several run-in's with the law and accumulating a lenghty rap-sheet before the age of 18, he had the threat of serious jail time looming over him. With the threat of incarceration and a tireing lifestyle, Morfeen decided to search for a new way to make ends meet, which resulted in him seriously considering a career in the music industry."I always loved music, and had dreamed of becoming an artist since I was a little kid" he says, "I was writing music since I was like nine years old, but never really took it serious." After years of writing he finally began making music, this time with serious intentions. He went on to record his first full length EP entitled "Evil Intent" An album with lyrics containing constant violent themes, and an overall very dark tone. "Evil Intent was just me experimenting with how I wanted to sound. Ninety percent of what I said was to piss people off."After releasing an album well reviewed by many in the underground, he began making his follow up entitled "Praying For Death." Morfeen said about this album, "Death is alot darker album for me. The time period this album was written during was hell for me and it definetly reflects thru in the music." The full length LP containing 13 tracks is due to be released in late summer of 2008.
