COBRALUSH, the sound of angry, lightning-fueled, leather-clad pleasure bots making sweet love. Take a moment to visualize. The power trio from Fort Worth TX formed in early 2007, blending the eclectic talents of Daniel Harville (guitars), Dave Karnes (drums) and Zayra (vocals). As described by the Fort Worth Weekly, the music is decidedly weird but in a good, brave way: a lot of heavy beats juxtaposed with Zayra's relentlessly feminine, crystalline, sing-talky vocals, plus some ominous, hip-hop-inflected industrial music and bursts of arena-rock. The digital backdrop to each song blends seamlessly with the guitar and live drum kick. The stage show, much like their sound, is unparalleled.
