Welcome to the myspace page for Self Made Recordings. Here you can stay up on whats going on with ASTRAY, SKEEM and other SMR projects.For those of you that aren't familiar with SMR, We are an indy label specializing in Midwest Hip Hop. Over the last five years (I can't believe its been that long) we have sold over 75k records with amost no radio play or national distribution. ASTRAY's Latest "Who's Coming With Me?" is our most successful project to date and has spents multiple weeks on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.It is an exciting time for us right now. We will celebrate our Five year anniversary this year with a Best Of CD, Release a new project by SKEEM (This is coming out really well and I am going to talk about how much I love this album alot so get used to it), and record new ASTRAY material with Producer G.Pierce ( Dayton Family, Jazze Pha, MC Breed).As far as submissions go I am not actively looking for artists but I am addicited to listening to music so every week I will listen to all the tracks (all genres are considered) that are emailed and pick one for Song of the Week and put it on this site. If you want to be considered just email [email protected] and put Song of the week in the subject line.
