Myspace BackgroundsAbout me,huh? Well this is something I have been looking at a lot in these last few months. I believe discovering who you are is a journey that never truly ends until you are standing before the throne of God in Heaven, but I'll share what I have discovered thus far! I am a small town farm girl, I grew up on a farm in Missouri. I am the oldest of three kids. had the most wonderful grandparents you could ever ask for! I grew up hearing about Jesus, God, and attending VBS and sometimes Sunday school, however it was not until I was 11 that I truly accepted Jesus into my heart. I was 14 when my grandma died and that was the day I learned what a broken heart felt like. At the age of 17, I met the boy who would become the love of my life. We have been together ever since, we married 3 years later and just recently celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary! God has blessed us with three beautiful children, Nicholas (9), Hayley (6), and Anna (3). I am a PROUD Navy wife. Since leaving my childhood home in Missouri, I have lived on the west, east, and gulf coast of the US. I have been able to see the beauty of over half the states in the US, traveling everywhere between CA to VA, and from the Gulf of Mexico to the Great Lakes. Each place we have lived has been an adventure within itself. As we move on from one adventure to the next, I walk away having learned something new and being a better, stronger person because of it. I love Navy life and [almost]all that goes with it. I am 29 years old, but that is just a number. Age is more about the lessons you have learned from your journey, the lessons you learn from others, and the lessons you can teach those around you. I thank God for all the people I have met, I have either learned from them, or there is something they have learned from me. Throughout this adventure called Bri's life, I have experienced happiness, laughter, love, loss, pain, and sorrow. I have made some great friends along the way. More importantly, I have experienced the joy of the Lord! I have witnessed miracles and seen the glory of God, both in my own life and in the lives of those around me. I know the peace and comfort that only God can offer! I am a naturally quiet person in most new settings, which often earns me the label of being snobby. On the flip side of that I tend to ramble when I am nervous or excited. I am opinionated, but I have learned there are times to share those opinions and times to keep them to myself. I try my best to guard my mouth and my opinions. I am a wife, a mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, and a friend. I am not perfect, I am always a work in progress.

My Interests

I love history, mostly 19th to late 20th century. I love a good real life mystery, too. One place I'd love to visit one day is Italy, I am so drawn to their culture and history. I also love to cook, according to family and friends, I'm pretty good!

Let's see my top picks are Notebook, Sweet Home Alabama, Steel Magnolias, Raising Helen. Who can forget the great *coming of age* movies from our generation, there is Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Goonies, Stand By Me, My Girl.....

Television:

My number one can't miss show is One Tree Hill, I've been addicted since the pilot episode. The other shows on my can't miss list are Brother's and Sisters, ER, Heroes, Friday Night Lights. I have also taken a liking to October Road on ABC. I also watch Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, and Numbers whenever I can. I LOVE Friends and Gilmore Girls, although I have seen every episode made of both series, I still watch reruns from time to time. My family sits together every Thursday and watch 'Are You Smarted than a 5th Grader', it is a good game show and family friendly!

Books:

I love to read so I could go on and on naming titles, but will try to name JUST A FEW of my favorites.:) Poisonwood Bible, although contraversal, it is a good read. We Were the Mulvaney's, great book about a family growing up, growing apart, but trying desperately to hang on. Of course Note Book, Message in a Bottle, great love stories, need I say more! For history lovers, I recommend Mrs. Kennedy, Alexandria~The Last Tsarina, Queen Victoria.
