SUNSET’S EDGE is a feature length, romantic comedy. In recent years, movies like ACROSS THE UNIVERSE and television shows like NEXT GREAT AMERICAN BAND have been widely successful. People love rock n' roll and they love movies.
SUNSET’S EDGE is both. It's an original love story about two rock bands with the Hollywood music scene as it's backdrop. It combines elements of GREASE, DIRTY DANCING and ALMOST FAMOUS with an original story, captivating subplots and a surprise ending.
As an aspiring musician for many years, I've had many stories to tell. SUNSET’S EDGE is the culmination of all of them into one.
I believe SUNSET’S EDGE has what it takes to be a commercial success.

SYNOPSIS:
The central plot in SUNSET’S EDGE is driven by the two bands’ lead singers, SCRATCH and TRIXIE - boy meets girl along with her jealous band mate, CHERRY, who instantly dislikes him. SCRATCH fronts NO FUTURE, a Hollywood rock band with a moderate following. TRIXIE fronts THE CHERRY BOMBS, an all female band she formed with CHERRY that has yet to play its first show. Upon meeting, NO FUTURE invites THE CHERRY BOMBS to open for them at their next show. There, the girls are spotted by a talent scout who offers them the world.
SCRATCH persistently pursues TRIXIE who reluctantly agrees to see him but under the pretense that neither of their bands know about it. CHERRY, knowing something is amiss between them, grows angrier and more jealous. Without warning, the lead guitarist for NO FUTURE quits forcing them to scramble for a replacement member. Meanwhile, the aforementioned talent scout lands THE CHERRY BOMBS a major label record deal and the girls go on to record an album, release a single and make a music video while the guys in No Future continue to tread water.
Now wanting out, TRIXIE distances herself from SCRATCH and only gives in to seeing him when she's lonely. He knows this, but is too in love to let her go. After witnessing THE CHERRY BOMBS’ string of successes, the already fractured NO FUTURE begins to fall apart as a second member quits and the remaining members argue over what to do about it. SCRATCH must now choose between repairing NO FUTURE and fighting to keep TRIXIE. Even more complications arise in both bands as the subplots for the other band members take shape.
There has yet to be a movie made about the grittiness of the Hollywood music scene. SUNSET’S EDGE is a romantic comedy wrapped around a drama and tons of fun from start to finish. SUNSET’S EDGE contains no graphic violence, nudity or drug use but plenty of fowl language and adult humor that could be be toned down for a PG-13 rating. SUNSET'S EDGE - for your consideration.
