hello boys, girls,adults, cannibals and most of all, metalheads and guitar lovers. my real name is daniel, my friends call me using a variety of abbreviations of my surname, i like to call myself the icegutiarist, i am very sociable and make friends easily, yet my neighbour thinks i'm an asshole, all because we (my former band) used to give him a good dose of metal at 8 am while practising in my garage. nothing like some good moshing on sunday morning. better to mosh in the garage than to sleep in church! jesus will understand.
As you have probably already deduced I am married to my guitars. I love playing guitar, it takes up most of my non-school time, which is increasing instead of decreasing (meaning i'm playing more and studying less). Playing guitar is not a hobby for me, a hobby is something you do for half an hour on saturdays, like collecting stamps or whatever. Music is a lifestyle for me, which can lead to some complications in a country where you're only taken seriously by most people (not all, thankfully my family and close friends think otherwise) if you wear a suit, a tie and hang all you fifty-plus university degrees on the walls for all the bloody world to see. but that's part of the fun of this life I guess, doing things and moving towards goals which so many sad, mindless people have dismissed as "infantile dreams" and "impossible". There is no such thing as impossible, there is only a sequence of hurdles, barriers and challenges, all of which im ready to jump over or bring down in one way or another as I move along in life.
As a person, I consider myself to be outgoing, yet cautious at the same time. Life is to me a wonderful, inexplicable mystery, a mystery beyond human comprehension, which makes it all the more interesting. I am a firm believer in the power of the human mind, yet also quite aware of the limitations we are tied down with which often prevent us from looking beyond the superficial and actually trying to understand everything at its deepest, most truthful level. Some find me slightly too philosophical at times, yet if there's one thing I cannot help is actually questioning practically every notion and state of existence, and please note that I do this positively and with a sense of awe at that which is unknown, or else at that which we know but have not yet come to terms with.
I'm lucky to have a family which supports me through life, and friends who are brother-figures to me, who are a constant pillar of support. Appreciate and hold dear those who wish you the best in life, because the world is, sadly, full of people who will do their utmost to exploit you in order to improve their own situation.
anyway, i used to be in a band called Seismic. But i left, cos i wanted to play another type of metal. Now I am lead guitarist in a metal band , CYANIDE.
