I am here for Friends

Life after college isn't what I thought it would be. The group of friends that actually made it the four or five years of college still find some way to go about doing other things like graduate school in different states or careers in different cities. When life gets so busy that you are acting to make a living or shooting a film with energy from your own hard work, it's hard to keep in contact and keep friendships alive.

But I'm still here. I'm a 24-year-old guy that still acts like he is too young to drink alcohol legally. I have seven facial piercings that some people think should have gone with graduation, but I keep them. They make me look a little better when I am onstage with my band, My Beloved Tragedy. We are a five peice band that wants to escape growing up and make music for a living. We suck, but we love what we do and we got a few people who like it too. But my band doesn't pay the bills, so I whore myself out to the Sprint Nextel Corporation where I am a Lead Communications Consultant. I hate my job, but I get a free phone and you'll probably see me change up to a new one every few months. Althought I work for a cell phone company, I hate talking on phones to the point where I will always click you over to voicemail. Text me and I will respond. Most times, I will ignore your call and send you a text. I have a dog named Ashland. He is an English Bulldog. He and I do interpretive dances of entire movies when we play like The Lion King. We also watch America's Next Top Model on the weekend. I do think he is a Republican dog because he really doesn't like rap music and will watch John McCain speak. I don't get it, but you can't pick your pets...wait...you can...he is going on eBay as we speak.

Where does that leave my band?

There is a part of me that doesn't want to admit that a big part of what makes a band successful is aesthetics. That talent matched with a great deal of drive with a drop of luck is all a band needs t...

Calling a truce...

It seems as though my job and I have come to a momentary cease fire. The fiery hatred Ive felt for Sprint has dulled itself to only a slight pang that only erupts every so often. But for the most part...
