Fire My Words .. ..
------------------------------------------------------------ -------The fire company was formed in 1896 and is until today still 100% active and continuously advancing. The fire company faced a major set back almost 5 years ago. The fire company was at a stand still and was nearly lost after major problems erupted within the company. The fire company was saved and many changes happened over the years. Keystone is continuously moving forward and has become an asset to the fire service as it had in the past.Today's Fire Company: Late last year we placed in service our new 2007 International 4400/ KME 1250GPM/1000H2O Engine (E49-11). It was our upgrade from a 1990 FMC 1250/750. The FMC provided service for the nearly 3000 residents of the 5.2 square miles of the Borough Of McAdoo. The KME was purchased through a Grant/Loan combination From the USDA. Sale of the FMC offset the cost. The KME provides more reliable and efficent fire protection and is constantly being fitted with new equipment. We Also have a 1993 Chevy 2500 Squad/ Support Unit (S49-63) that has recently been overhauled with a 5-inch Lift Kit and was color matched to the new engine. One more piece to add to the company is our 1968 Kaiser 5-Ton 6x6 brush truck (B49-44) ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------- Our Current officers are as follow:Fire Chief 49-01: Scott Card Deputy Chief 49-02: Ron Hildebrand Asst.
