Saturday night Die Smylin played under the pavillion at the Rockhouse Bar and Grill in Butler, PA. It was the 1st time Rick, the owner, had a band play outside and everyone in attendance enjoyed it...once they realized where the music was coming from!Rick Moses , guitarist for Plastered in Paris stopped by during our 2nd set only to be chased away by a "crazy, drunken fan" of his! Ahh... the life of a rock star. We got your back Rick...RUN! :) Terry from Screaming Brain Studio stopped by with Dave from Morbid Decor who were working the "Moster Bash" convention at the Days Inn in Butler. If you like horror movies and things that go bump in the night check them out on myspace. They are both talented, original artists with original artwork for sale.

Bio Die Smylin is a “Hard Rockin’ Rock –N- Roll” band based out of Butler, PA that formed in 2006. From Black Sabbath to Finger Eleven, Twisted Sister to Seether, our material covers a variety of hard hitters from the past and present. For the past 2 years we have been the headliner at Riverstock in East Brady, played pigroasts and private parties. Now, with a solidified lineup and our chops finely honed, we are making our way onto the club scene with a loyal following behind us. We believe in providing our audience with a fist pumpin’, headbangin’, ass shakin’ good time. If you want the most bang for your buck, check us out!
Our name, well it's nothing morbid by any means! We were all asked to bring in ideas for a name for the band and after going through a stack of possibilities it was down to a handful. Dan came forward with "Die Smiling" and said, "I want to have fun playing music and in everything else I do in my life. I want to die smiling!" Isn't that the truth? A change of the letters in the word smiling and the name of the band and its' philosophy were born.
