About Me

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."Formed in 1997, Jimson Trance were always a whiskers' breadth away from it all. Playing the same scuzzy toilets as the likes of Snow Patrol, Travis, Idlewild et al, the band always seemed to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory. Despite dubious managers, mercenary promoters and a succession of gigs resulting in venues either closing down, or being destroyed by fire; the band always managed to whip out some fine songs and pull off a jolly good show. The band officially split in 2003, but still remain in contact (through their lawyers). After the split, Emma and Chris metamorphosised into Mothra and the Final Girl (and pretty damn good they are too). Sonic Engineer Adam is still Perth's finest exponent of hardcore punk through his band Lambgrinder. John, Richard, Mark and Noel are now involved with the Montevideo Five - under assumed names, of course. However, the tenth anniversary of the band's first gig will be upon us soon. Now, if Led Zeppelin can do it....
