DETOUR 45

About Me

DETOUR 45 was started in October 2007 by singer Chris D'Amico (774-258-1696), who decided to start a rock band with lead guitarist/singer "McMuffin", rhythm guitarist/singer Harrison Reed, and drummer Elliot Chang. This established the permanent line up of DETOUR 45, with memebers ranging from ages 15 to 21. Detour 45 plays many different styles and takes influence from countless very different sounds, and their range of musical inspiration is constantly expanding. Song lyrics include themes of integrity, loyalty, strength, and unity. DETOUR 45 has a unique sound, and to the best of their ability try to avoid becoming any kind of scene stereotype or follow any boring overdone trends. They play what they feel and do not simply limit themselves to one single sub genre of rock. D'Amico, "McMuffin", Harrison, and Elliot write and record all songs. DETOUR 45's good friend Stefan Lapierre who runs the music festival known as In Rock We Trust, put them on the 2008 show at the Artist Development Complex as the opening band. Later that year DETOUR 45 played their first acoustic show for Local Music Rocks. Then in early October 2008 they started getting help from Illumina Records & Promotions. DETOUR 45 has played shows with Akasha, Death By Fame, Stereopath, Sins Of America, Survive The Crash, Evolucion, Crimson Bile, Katrin, My Place In The Cosmos, D.E.A.D., Bangledesh, Social Darwin, Old Abram Brown, Hansome Hal, Ionia, Broken Cross, Pitfall, Ruckus, Y.A.F., Nero, Rachael's Extra E, and Margot Macdonald. They have performed on stage with Tom Brothers, James Fischetti, and Mike Leonard.
