Born & raised in Crown Heights/Flatbush Brooklyn,New York to 2 Trinidadian parents. I began writing raps at the age of 11,under the early influences of L.L. Cool J,Run D.M.C.,B.D.P.,Big Daddy Kane,M.C. Shan.,Roxanne Shante',Slick Rick,N.W.A.,and a whole list of others like!!!! By the age of 14,I learned how to write songs in the sequence of bars,and hooks,which led me to hooking up with my man Ronald Tingman(Chris Rock's cousin), who I began recording with. As time passed by,I ended up meeting with Larry Blackmon,from the legendary group "Cameo",who was interested in collaborating with me & my d.j.,but due to creative differences with my manager,I ended up splitting!!!
After splitting,I recorded a 26 song album,and left N.Y. for Houston,Texas!!
I ended up meeting an up & coming producer named John F. Parker,who was interested in working with me. We ended up collaborating,and the result was a gold selling record,titled "Stop The Gunfight",which featured the artists "Trapp", the late great heavyweights "Notorious B.I.G." & "2 Pac",and
myself then, which was known as "Chocolate Chip" !!!! I did four songs on this record!!!(YOU CAN FIND THIS ALBUM ON EBAY). The album was released in 1997 under the record label "Death-Trap"(which was changed to "Deff-trapp"),which I originally created & it was distributed through Intersound records!!!! It charted on the Billboards for a minute,& got my name in the Source magazine & a few other mags. However,as fate would have it,
I received a very little percentage of the royalties,due to my lack of knowledge of not knowing the business!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, after taking time out to study the business,I wrote probably about 1300 songs,and decided to do all the shit by myself!!! So,after getting the equipment I needed through the help and assistance of somebody real close to me ("BUTTER$COTCH"),I re-emerged myself as
"BLACK MO$EZ"/"PIRAHNA MAN"/"B.B.K.$",under my own new label & production company "THUGBOY/THUGHOU$E!!! With a genuine love for the craft,cause music is my heart,my life,my blood,and my world!!! I ressurected with my first new album "GUN$ of AUGUST/8-21-75",written,recorded,produced,mixed,& mastered all by my muthafucking self!!! Cause REAL NIGGAS DO REAL THINGS!!! Besides the first album,"GUN$" done this year,I also completed 4 other records this year,all with 22 songs on them! I'm currently hard at work, & almost finished with my sixth album now!! Registered with the Library of Congress for life,so everything I do is protected,all my shit!!! Plus I got publishing with ASCAP!! So, if anybody try to infringe on my
jewels,I'll see them in court,BOTTOM LINE!!!! Just got back from Brooklyn New York(MY HOMETOWN)
