Too long has Melbourne been swamped in a wasteland of magazines, from fashion and music to social satire! Behold the dawn of a new era of pretty visuals and sexy words. While other street presses come across as that bleach blonde party girl with orange skin, or that indy rock groupie who hasn't seen running water or a bar of soap for the last ten years, behold, I Prefer Pencil, that cute, intelligent, arty girl with those "deep in thought" eyes. From many sleepless nights from behind our computer, we will bring to you a selection of young, talented, aspiring writers and artists (whom are almost as starving as ourselves), all wrapped up together to make a steet-press with lots of cool words and pretty (and some not so pretty) pictures. If you are interested in contributing writing, art, or design skills or would like exposure as an artist or writer, we are looking for submissions from creative fictional pieces to tongue in cheek commentaries. As a monthly street-press I Prefer Pencil allows you to easily showcase your work and skills to the wider public. For further information or submissions contact us at: [email protected] Website on its way. And remember, writers are rockstars too. Yours truly, Rama
