About Me

Growing up in a family of musicians, entertainers, and freaks in general, I was destined to play music… and what a splendid trip it’s been so far! I played violin as a kid, sang in choirs for years, aspired to be a famous dancer/choreographer. Things change, and I do none of these things now.I picked up the bass in 1990.. which was something I wanted for years! I spent most of the time playing in the New York/New Jersey blues scene. The last band I worked with was Soul Food. This was a great project, with a great bunch of guys. We released two cd’s, gigged hard for 8 years, and were a featured act at the 2002 Maximum Blues Festival in Quebec, Canada. We were invited to contribute a song on a Clash tribute called “The Sandinista Project!”…. so we happily did it. In fact, we were honored to have Mick Gallagher (original member of the Clash) lay down the keys on our song, “Midnight Log”. I’ve uploaded our track on this site. The double cd was released in May 2007 and can be purchased on Amazon. This is a worthwhile purchase!Moved to Austin in January 2007, and continue to meet and jam with incredible players!Worked with the LUCASCOOKUS band for two years and had a blast! Performing mostly original music with covers too. Now with a new line-up, be sure to check Lucas Cook and the Collection.American Roulette is my most recent project. We're a power trio doing mostly original music with select covers. Our sound ranges from rock and blues to retro funk and latin.
