The Butterfly Strategy is a music night running at the Butterfly and Pig, 153 Bath St, Glasgow, every Sunday from 14/10/07, from 8.30 till late. The idea is to provide a platform for up and coming acts to promote their work. This can be original, covers or even tribute acts although the main focus will be on local talent with original material. The nights will be hosted by myself, Callum Rae and my good friend Paul Alger. This is not an open mic night, the planned program will be three floor spots doing four songs each,then a twenty minute support spot followed by a headline act of approx 40minutes. All performers will receive a live master quality recording of one of their songs with both the support and headline act having their full performance recorded. A selection of the recordings will be featured on this site and we will be continuing to expand our data base to ensure the widest circulation possible for the music featured. We are particularly keen to link up with the colleges and universities providing music based courses and believe this will be an ideal platform for new talent to develop their work. Like any new venture this will stand or fall on the basis of your support and involvement, so book in to play or just come and watch, enjoy the music in a cool environment with good company.Due to Pauls other commitments I will be dealing with bookings and offering invitations to play but don't wait to be asked, if you are interested, get in touch with me on this site and get booked in.
