With dreams of touring again, joined forces with other excellent musicians to play his own music. After searching, and searching, three musicians came together as if it were their destiny, now know as "COSCINO". Now after playing my music, they have added such a powerful punch of sound to this group.
I can truly say that this band is what I have been searching for my whole life. Now I am happier than ever, and having much fun too!! Can't wait for everyone to hear our music, and come out and have a great time with us.
Jim Boudreaux
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Started playing clarinet in elementary school at the age of ten and took up bass guitar at age 15. Played various instruments throughout high school/college such as clarinet, bassoon, and tenor saxophone. My years in high school included playing bass in jazz bands, and in Rock/Top 40 bands with Mike Coscino on Lead Guitar and myself on Bass. My early years on bass guitar were influenced by groups such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Kiss, ZZ Top, Rush, and Zebra. Mike Coscino and I graduated from Brother Martin High in New Orleans, but our lives took different paths with the onset of college and families. In my 20’s, I studied classical piano under an accomplished German pianist of Slidell, Louisiana. Throughout the years, I played in several jazz bands/orchestras on bass guitar, which included my Father’s own group the Tip, Ring and Sleeve Orchestra.
Now after many years, reunited with Mike Coscino & Mel Walle in a Premium Rock/Blues group now called “COSCINOâ€.
Mel "Doc" Walle
Born in New Orleans, and started playing Drums/Percussion at the age of ten. He was schooled in his passion by Reed Vaughan, who had been with the Stan Kenton Orchestra for years, and taught a very strict program of rudimental and jazz drumming. In high school, he played in all facets of the musical programs, especially concentrating on the Stage/Jazz/Rock Band and the Marching Band. At fourteen, he was accepted to the Starduster Drum and Bugle Corps as Lead Snare and went on to receive high honers in both state and national competition. But his heart led him to play his real passion of Rock/Progressive Rock/and Hard-Metal Rock. Many local and touring groups later, he has settled in with the latest greatest group of three seasoned musicians called "COSCINO".
"This is a style of Rock/Blues/Progressive Rock, I have never had the pleasure of experimenting with, and I am having a great time putting in the effort needed to produce such a power-punch style that the group has become. It is actually fun again, being allowed as the drummer, to have the input to a song's outcome, and then seeing audience reaction."
Be sure to keep your eye on this "trio", they are going to rock your socks off!!
