Pour promouvoir le rôle économique de la femme et faire prendre conscience des problèmes liés à l'émigration. L’association AFRIKABOK - Action Humanitaire d'Information, de Prévention, d'Education et de Formation dont l’objectif est de sensibiliser les populations du Sénégal à travers des projections cinématographiques itinérantes, lance un appel de dons en collaboration avec les associations opérant pour le Développement Economique, l'Education des Jeunes Filles, la lutte contre le SIDA, les Vaccinations, la Drogue et la Prostitution. Les Relations entre le NORD et le SUD. **********************************************The association Afrikabok, created in 2002, operates in Senegal where it is actively engaged in developing a consciousness of the ability of African women to participate to economical progress and in addressing local plights as well as the many problems regarding immigration. Afrikabok's determination to reach these goals is carried out through an agenda which includes: Humanitarian Information, the Promotion of diseases Prevention, and a program of Education and Professional Formation, intended to stimulate Senegalese public opinion by promulgating a greater awareness of the debilitating predicaments that confront this country, and the means to avert them. We have been disseminating information via itinerant cinematographic projections that enable us to reach the rural population in remote villages and to facilitate discussion after the vision of the films such as Kirikou, to cite one among many others. Those films were preceded by shorts making the public aware of diseases and notably AIDS. Working in collaboration with governmental institutions, such as Cultural events, Heads of Departments in charge of these specific needs, Districts administration, Village Chiefs and Religious representatives dedicated to the struggle against AIDS, drugs, and the endemic prostitution of women who have no other means of survival, we are calling for donations to help us in our humanitarian commitment.
