This group from Oakland, CA came together through an idea MC/Vocalist/Producer Ty Hardman had back in 2003. He handled all production, recording, instrumentation, and vocals on the demo tracks, but it was only until a complete band was formed, that everything really became realized. Each member in the band is deep rooted in music here in the Bay Area, and once this lineup of the group formed, Hypnotic started quite a stir in the area with their live performances. Live sets include Drummer Steve Pellerin, Vocalist Carmen Pellerin, Keys player Jonathan Veekner, Paul Martin on Bass, Percussionist Mike Demasio, and Shomari Mosey on Sax; bringin' you a smooth blend of Reggae, Soul, Hip-Hop, Jazz and a little something extra. Shows are packed with energy, infectiously dancey grooves that get you bobbin your head and movin your feet, good vibes, plenty of improv just when the time is right, and possibly even opens up some ears to relevant issues that we all face. They are currently working on a live DVD/CD package that was recorded at E'xpression College for Digital Arts, as well as some clubs local to the Bay. It is set to be released in Novermber.
