International Choreographer. She starts her artistic education when she is very young, passing from Contemporary Dance Theatre straight to the hip hop culture, in a period where the black movement is becoming manifest also in Europe.
Throughout her formative years she is strongly influenced by the most extreme aspects of contemporary dance and, indirectly, by contemporary art in general. She personally lives the artistic scene of Rome, where she dances in many groups taking part in the most innovative shows, without dismissing the influence coming from the great European metropolises, first of all the German one.
She is strongly attracted by choreography and teaching, and, at the early age of 16, she begins a long path that makes her in a short time one of the most peculiar and renowned hip hop representatives, in Italy and abroad. The lot without ever forgetting her hometown, Latina, where she literally breeds an incredible number of dancers, some of whom will become her mental and body extension for ten years, dancing in the most prestigious Italian theatres: Roma, Milano, Bergamo, Venezia, Modena, Firenze, Napoli, Bari, Catania, Palermo. These are only some of the cities where DaCru Hip Hop Dance Company performed their show.
The company was founded in 1996, originally named Unity in Diversity, and it is the first and unique Italian formation dancing in the most renowned black clubs in Europe for three consecutive years: France, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands. The aim of the Company, conceived as a real cultural society, is to host the best dancers in the national contest, and to create an articulate and distinguished group. This can happen because Marisa, together with Omid Ighani, her partner in life and dance, manages ten Education Centres for professional hip hop dancers and a House, Video Dance and Club National Academy.
Extremely recognizable for her unique and peculiar style, she now teaches in Italy and abroad, but she never gives up the company project that has reached its best condition after a lot of work and thanks to an almost total change of elements. Indeed, the dancers of the last two years, have now the highest level ever achieved in technicism and harmony.
