Children Of the Damned

Birthed out of the love of Iron Maiden; "Children of the Damned" is here to bring you powerful performances of Iron Maiden's legendary music. As a tribute to one of the most important bands in the Heavy Metal genre, we join the legions of fans who love and respect Iron Maiden.
STORY…
Initially, Manny and Aaron met in 2006 while working in another Iron Maiden tribute band. After that band split up, Aaron and Manny were already planning to start another band when the opportunity presented itself. That opportunity came in the summer of 2007 when Manny met Steve during rehearsals for an 80’s metal project. We noticed that Steve's voice has a wide range and vibrato reminiscent of Bruce Dickinson's. So, after careful consideration, we decided to move forward with a new Iron Maiden project and "Children of the Damned" was born. Steve has the look and sound that closely matches Bruce. The rest of us have the technique and discipline to faithfully render the music. Once we had our first rehearsal together, we knew it was going to be huge. OUR PLAN…
Is to focus on Iron Maiden’s “Golden Years” (Albums “Killers” through “Powerslave”). We consider ourselves more of an Iron Maiden “cover” band than an actual “tribute” band. Being that the music is the primary objective while the “look” and theatrics follow a close second. You will hear all of their biggest hits and few obscure ones that we know you will enjoy.
MEMBERS…
STEVE is a fantastic singer. When he first sang “Children of the Damned”, we all knew he could handle the task of covering Bruce Dickinson’s range and depth. A lot of bands have to lower the pitch of their instruments to accommodate a singer’s lack of range. This is not the case with Steve which allows us to bring you the music as you remember it.
MANNY is a classically-trained guitar player who has always had a love for Iron Maiden's music. He strikes a great balance between technical virtuosity and keeping true to the music. Also, he has taken on the task of playing both Dave Murray's and Adrian Smith's guitar parts at the same time. When he is not working on band business, he also writes and records original material. Some of these works are posted on his personal MySpace page (see below).

AARON (a.k.a. A.J.,Gonzo) is a true musician who can easily handle the hardest Steve Harris bass lines. His attention to detail and exacting delivery makes him the “Rock” of the band. You may be able to catch AJ playing around town sitting in with other local groups in his spare time. "I got hit with the Maiden bug when I was 18, studying Harris's bass lines in my bedroom one summer brought my technique to the next level. It's my pleasure to pay homage to such a strong leader in the Bass World."
