The name Proliphiq was given to me by my brother and derives from the word prolific meaning producing in large quantities or with great frequency; characterized by abundant production. This has explained me since the day I started rapping at age 12 and making beats at age 13. Even though, my talent wasn't recognized until age 15 when I was given the name. Now, years later the name fits more than ever. With over 500 beats under my belt and 100s of songs it is time for the world to know who Proliphiq really is. Here is some brief background about myself. I was born in Wisconsin and into a cult. It was my father a musician and mislead pastor along with 7 different divinely influenced women including my mother. My father felt that god told him to have many kids and offspring in his name. He had over 20 children and shortly after I was born the cult was dispersed. That is when my mother parted her ways and came to Arizona. I was a confused child with A.D.D. who never met my father but wasn't too much effected. I was more interested with my dreams and how to show them to the world. I developed a taste for music at a young age through my expressive imagination so that I could one day be able to change the world with my words. At that time my family and I were moving from low budget apartment to low budget apartment and I usually tried to stay to myself. I found refuge in Jazz and Classical and soon started to add my own word to the instrumentals. It was more like spoken word but throughout time it matured into freestyles and rhymes. I started making beat by sneaking onto my brothers computer when he wasn't around. He had Fruityloops and I learned the program without any assistance. We both became good at using the computer but he specialized in it and after he noticed my talents started looking for better programs and tools for me to use. He was rapping and i was making beats and rapping as well. We hooked up with many various unsigned and inexperienced artist and made many songs that went nowhere. I felt like I was being bred to become a artist; working with Pro Tools, Reasons, Sonar, Logic, and I'm still trying new tools and applications. The creativity is there and I have had years to formulate it in a way to which I can call on it when needed to make a hit song. With a little guidance and promotion I know without a reasonable doubt that the world will truly know who Proliphiq is and won't for get it.
