The Old Man's Stereo began with the original line up that started some years ago as a punk band named ''stay rebels'', where Carlos (bass), Charlie (guitar) and Mono (drums), played old punk songs with little success. In the fall of 2007, after many years of discussion, lead singer Marck(ex former of chaos theory) joined the band, and from the first rehearsal the combination was a notable success. After some days the band got its actual name ''The Old Man's Stereo'', making reference to good old music and the effort of trying to bring it back, playing post punk covers, and punk styled songs of their own. Shortly after marck's entrance, Frank joined the band during rehearsal ,soon afterwards the band began composing songs, starting with the single ''save me'' which was a conversion of an old song from the previous band ''stay rebels'' , followed by''tbox'', a critic to television and mass consumption society. Then the band played some gigs in some small venues , and some time later the band decided to record its first demo, recording its three first singles ''Save me-TBox-Girl breakdown'', which launched the band to immediate success. The band began climbing steps into the local indie scene, making a name of its own for its on stage presence, performing delirious on stage madness, amazing guitar solos, and crazy drum and bass slaps, playing many gigs in local venues. In 2008 the band played a large number of gigs , in summer 2008 the band entered a long period of recording , recording its first Ep''We're The Old Man's Stereo'' including newer and much more elaborated versions of old songs and some new ones.Spring 2008 came with the unfortunate event of Frank leaving the band, he was going to st udy in the U.S so he couldn't continue playing with the Band, fortunately Lenix entered permanently playing the (keyboards synthesizer ), the band had to evolve into to a more elaborated sound...
