About Me

About Me? Where to Begin? My name is Matt Farmer and I am from Shipman Illinois, a small town of only 600 people. Surprisingly, its a great place to grow up and I have lived there pretty much all my life. Currently, I am 22 years old and a Senior in College. I graduated from Southwestern High School in 2003 and went to Lewis and Clark Community College for 2 years where I earned an Associates Degree in Fine Arts. August of 2005 though, I moved to Las Vegas to study film at the University of Nevada. Im actually back home in Illinois right now cause out of state tuition is a bitch. So now Im in Carbondale, Illinois at Southern Illinois University. Its been pretty cool here so far but its not Vegas..... But, about me though....theres alot I could tell you but heres just a few things: In my spare time I am usually hanging out with friends, drinking and partying, outdoors(hunting, fishing, rock climbing, boating, camping, etc.), playing sports, eating, sleeping and yeah thats prolly about it. People will either tell you im im a cocky self centered asshole or that im pretty much a dork and am always doing or saying stupid shit. But its all good as long as im having fun. Dont really want this to be very long though so im gonna stop here. Want to know anything else just message and ask.

Movies:

Considering I am studying film and going into production there are WAY Too many movies that i would consider to be my favorites. So I'm just gonna list a few of my favorite ones: Almost Famous, Dazed and Confused, The Sandlot, Forrest Gump, Endless Summer, Ladder 49, The Recruit, Dances with Wolves, Gladiator, and Braveheart. Also have to include all of the Godfathers, Chinatown, My Own Private Idaho, Stand By Me, Bottle Rocket, American Graffiti, Resevoir Dogs, Platoon, LA Confidential, Feat and Loathing in Las Vegas, Blow, The Hurricane, Boondock Saints, The Big Lebowski, Rocky 1 and 4, Dusk Till Dawn, American Movie; hell i could prolly go on for awhile. Pretty Diverse selection i guess.

Television:

Sports Center, Entourage, Deadwood, and Family Guy are prolly the only shows that I watch on a regular basis. I dont have enough free time to watch TV anymore.

Books:

Dont read too many books. Guess I would go with my all time favorite, Where the Red Fern Grows, ever since 5th grade. I'm more of a magazine reader though. You can always find a copy of FHM, Transworld Surf, Outside, Men's Journal, Mens Health, ESPN or Sports Illustrated somewhere in my room.
