G. F. Midgette is the senior pastor of Life More Abundantly Ministries, Establishmentarian & Coordinator for New Covenant Fellowship of Pastors and Churches. She is married to Elder Dexter Midgette and together they have 7 children and 10 grandchildren.
She was born and raised in the Tidewater area (Norfolk & Virginia Beach) to Frank and Georgia Jordan of Virginia Beach. Educated in the Norfolk Public School System, professional institutions and Bible Colleges. She relocated to the state of Maryland in the 1980's. She was called to the ministry over 20 years ago and has served in the Kingdom of God as a licensed Missionary/Evangelist under the Church of God In Christ (1985), was ordained as an Elder in 1997, Installed as Pastor in 1998 and more recently, August 11, 2007, she was elevated to Overseer (a pastor to pastors) by Bishop Alan G. Porter, Cathedral of Life, Harambee Ministers Fellowship.
She was employed by the federal government for 18 years and held the position of Management Analyst/Audit Coordinator. While under Bishop Porter’s leadership, God placed a desire in her heart to minister to her family members in Tidewater. She and her husband began a biweekly bible study in Virginia Beach that they thought was only intended for immediate family, but God’s intent was far greater. Other family members began to attend and bring friends.
Instructed by God through Bishop Porter and in agreement with her husband, she became totally committed to pastoring by commuting biweekly to Tidewater. But after affliction brought on her body due to stress and disobedience for trying to remain in Maryland and commute, she repented and told God that she would do what He asked, the way He wanted her to. After much counsel with Bishop Porter, Elder and Pastor Midgette agreed to relocate to Tidewater under divine mandate by God.
They believe that they have not done any more than some of the other men and women of God have done. They left their jobs, homes, and some of their children and grandchildren, friends and a Bishop and church family they enjoyed serving.
God has anointed and appointed the Midgettes. Pastor Midgette walks under the Apostolic mantle with gifts of the Spirit working in her.
