After numerous debates on army websites, it seems many are in favour of trying to reduce the cost of sending items to our loved ones in Afganastan and Iraq.We would like to try for free postage if possible (or to send items at a minimum rate and possibly to increase parcel weight to 3 kilo's). General Sir Richard Dannatt has shown his support for Parcels43 by speaking on National television about his frustration over the cost incurred by family and friends sending parcels to troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.Free postage has now been approved until December and Gen. Dannatt welcomed the the move, saying “I am delighted and extremely grateful.
