Dubsicarius Records is the brainchild of its founder and musical director Kyle "Sicarius" Chandler.Kyle began playing instruments from an early age,adding guitar, bass and vocals to the drums and percussion he was taught at school. Experimenting with 4-track recording at the age of 15 with co-creators Joseph'Sticky"Parks and Luke"Dane"Wharburton gave him a first experience of studio craft and advanced dubulatory techniques!He linked up with Russ Disciple shortly after and cut the dublate "Got To Have Faith" for the BSL Soundsystem. Other vocal support was supplied for the late,great, reggae legend Junior Delgado, harmonising with another reggae icon, Johnny Osbourne on Jux's "Buffalo Soldiers. Kyle also played sessions (vocal,percussive,drumming)for non-reggae acts as diverse as Attica Blues,Supergrass,Izit,Push,Foolish+Sly.Dubsicarius was formed with the intention of producing deep,downbeat music. Bringing together contemporary digital styles and old school sensibilities,we hope to deliver heartical,rootical tunes,strictly concious lyrics , and yes we love to dub it!!
