I'm a Chief Inspector/Investigator with the Elkhart Fire Department. I've been a public servant since I was 20 years old. This has not been an easy task. I believe in many things, but most importantly I believe in not forcing my thoughts and beliefs on others. Please don't give me advice if you can't illustrate a time in your life when the particular advice has worked for you. In other words, don't tell me how to invest my money if your broke. I love to talk and I like to discuss politics, sports, religion, finances (light on the economics, I can get heated), but most importantly, I love discussing and resolving family issues. I'm a good listener and a loyal friend. People judge me based on my titles and accomplishments,or lack thereof, usually never allowing themselves to know the real me. I pride myself on being honest and willing to admitt when I've made a mistake. My circle is close, but not closed, always open to someone in need. There is a soft place in my heart for abused children, battered women, and those in transition. I'm the type of mom that attends all my son and daughter's sporting/social events. But most importantly, I go to their schools and advocate for my children and I make it my business to monitor their grades. I'm still trying to maintain the title of being my son's #1 girl and my daughter's bestfriend.
