I grew up in Co-op City, Bronx, New York. Became interested in music and drums in 1978 after "Saturday Night Fever" hit. Learned to play legit snare drum, Tuba(!!!) and read music in Truman High School under the guidance of Alexander Altieri who is responsible for passing the love of music on to me which remains to this day. Played in local bands and eventually freelanced throughout the area. Studied drums privately over the years with Bobby Sanabria, Tommy Campbell, Joe Franco, and Joe Morello. Played drums in the off, off, broadway production of "Joseph and the amazing Technicolor dreamcoat" Under the direction of Zecca Esquibel who is an amazing pianist and he also instilled in me the importance of professionalism. This experience helped me with my sight reading chops and how to go with the flow when unexpected mishaps occured!!! Co-founded rock band Fat Bastid in early 90's in NYC which we had a blast playing for the next few years which we were gaining a name in the downtown NYC area. Started freelancing doing weddings and the occasional gig or fair. We just played our reunion show October 8th,2007 after an absence of over 10 years!!! Now, I am a sales manager and still enjoy playing every now and again.
