Zlati Krycer

About Me

Singer/songwriter Zlati Krycer moonlights by day and night as a wife, mother and homemaker. Yet underneath this vital façade, lurks the creative, musical essence which with more and more frequency is poking its head out. Zlati thinks in song lyrics – her own and others and can often be found annoying family members by breaking out into song at inappropriate moments. Just recently Zlati reached the pinnacle of this odd behavior. While carpooling her daughter and her friend, the friend asked a question which Zlati immediately answered singing one of her newest songs. It was like living in a musical where people randomly burst into song to express their deepest, innermost feelings. Definitely one of those special, memorable moments.Zlati, born and bred in Brooklyn, NY, has lived in many places including Melbourne, Australia, Pennsylvania and now Dallas, Texas. She released her first album called “No more hanging loose” in October 2007, recorded in Dallas at FreeSpirit Studio.Taking an organic/minimalist approach, recording each song very simply with acoustic guitar and voice or piano and voice with a dab of percussion, Zlati performed many of her more recent original songs. Fusing folk with the spiritual and a dash of Broadway, each song connects to a different aspect of being “a woman”. With topics ranging from infertility, miscarriage, reincarnation, aging, chocolate, housework, spiritual growth, love, praise, and Torah philosophy “No More Hanging Loose” became a cathartic experience.Zlati has performed internationally on three continents including Australia, Israel (in which she appeared at the Chassidic Song Festival in Tzfas), and the US. Her concerts tend to have a warm, earthy feel to them, imbued with a deep, connecting energy. Though an observant, religious Jew herself, Zlati hopes to reach out to women in general with songs that evince the experience and emotion of being a woman through a spiritual lens.Zlati exclusively sings for women only groups. You can purchase Zlati’s cd at cdbaby.com/cd/zlatikrycer. Question on nutrition.

There's a question that's been on my mind for a long time.  If I put healthy food on my kids' plates and they don't eat it, does it still count?  Back in the old days, with my two oldest, I ...
