HEREKE GUITAR QUARTET

The Hereke Guitar Quartet formed by initiative of Dr. M.Safa Yeprem in 2006 with whom they studied guitar and chamber music at Kocaeli University. Since their formation HGQ have had different presentations,inside which is the Second Guitar Meeting of Turkey(2007), likewise as those in the Third Music Teachers Symposium of Istanbul(2007), and other presantations in different places like Istanbul Atakent Culture Center, Kocaeli University Convention and Culture Center, Kocaeli Sabanci Culture Center, Erenköy Avni Akyol Fine Arts High School, YÇKM Culture Center, Akdeniz Univercity, Düzce Univercity... The HGQ devotes itself especially to the presentation of newly composed works and arrengements from Turkey . So they’ve realised the Turkish premieres of works of art like "Ongozinou-Vidiwiddoo" by Safa Yeprem, "Agri dagindan Uçtum" and "Song of Turco" by Naci Madanoglu. They are constantly expanding their repertoire with their own compositions from various musical genres, including works by A.Barrios Mangore, M. D. Pujol and E.
