Without going into a short-novel, here it is. I was born up in Michigan but have lived in Atlanta, (and a few other places), for the past 12 years. I've pretty much grown up around music all my life. When I was really young, my parents worked together in a business, so my sisters would always have to look after me. They were really into cool 70's music. While other kids were into BigWheels and flying kites, I would sit at home with headphones on listening to music. Of course I had hair down past my shoulders at the age of 5!!! Roger Daltrey and KISS ruled!!!!!!! I use to go watch my sisters boyfriend, (who is now my brother-in-law), play drums in his band. They were taking me to concerts before I could scream,, "Let me see your lighters!!!! (old school). This is how I got started playing drums. I started playing when I was 12, and pretty much went through the whole "band nerd" thing in school. But if you were in the drum line, you were considered cool!!! At least we thought we were. At football games we would play Iron Man and Smoke on the Water in the stands, and our band director just thought it was a cool sounding riff we just came up with. Anyways, I played in different "garage bands" during high school. Check out these rockin' names: My 1rst real band was the Good Ole' Boys, ( don't laugh, it was a band put together by a music store for kids between 8-12, and we made money!!!) Oasis (before the original), Boyz, which became Badd Boyz (please don't forget the 2 d's and z, that's what makes it cool), Byte the Bullet (once again, had to be different with the y instead of i). Finally, got out of high school and decided to move to L.A. with the band I was playing with. God Bless my dad for supporting me on this decision!!!! Alright, the next part can get a little long and blurry,,,at least a blurr for me,,,,,so here it is as quick as possible,,, Moved to L.A., did the whole pay to play on the SunSet Strip thing, band got popular (Southgang) and got signed to a major deal. Toured all over and met alot of cool people,,, yadayadayada,,,, came off the road, did another cd, toured again (including China, what a nightmare), came home and broke the band up. Started playing again in another band, (same members, Butch and Jayce, my brothers). We called ourselves Floyds Funk Revival. Later we changed the name to just The Floyds. This band consisted of the 3 of us and an awesome vocalist named Chrystina Lloree. Once again, toured, toured, toured playing 250+ shows a year, for about 4-5 years, but this time not on a bus, but in a van and trailor. Man, I get tired just thinking about those days!!!!! Lots of good times though!!!!! We ended up coming off the road for awhile when a band member became pregnant, (and it wasn't me, Jayce, or Butch). We decided to continue once again under a different band name. This time we called ourselves The Marvelous 3. Once again, went in and recorded some stuff, hit the road, got radio and label interest, and signed a deal. Got 1 good paycheck from the record label, (remember I only said 1). Went in recorded a cd, put it out on Elektra, did a video, went and toured some more, got to play on some cool t.v. shows, do some shows with some cool bands, and meet alot more friends. You probably know the next part of the story by now.... Yes, came off the road, did another cd, toured some more, and then broke up the band and became a record label tax write off... I still keep in touch with my brothers though, (Butch and Jayce), and everbody is doing great and still rockin'. I thank God that I am still playing and making a living at it. Right now I'm playing for the biggest and best audience I've ever played for,,,,,, God!!! Peace.
