Mini Bio:
TEKK GNOSIS (Scott Rennie) is the accumulation of nearly 10 years of musical experimentation and technological obsession. From a young age, TEKK GNOSIS had been hacking together video-games and small applications, programming computers and learning as much as the internet had to share. Musically he has evolved from the classical-guitar, being his first real practical experience in musical studies. At the age of 14 TEKK GNOSIS was first introduced to Squarepusher, and since then his perspective and musical direction was forever changed. Having a short attention span, simply playing a guitar was no longer able to hold his interest. While shuffling through dozens of subjects and projects, eventually a unique style combining many of his interests through the medium of musical expression was developed.
Combining ideas of spirituality, technology, philosophy, logic and mathematics, TEKK GNOSIS' current focus is upon dissolving boundaries between genre and creating a multi-disciplinary approach to the production of music, including the programming of devices & software to aid him in his work, and experimenting with new ideas in his compositions. Drifting away from convention through the years, his methods tend to be improvized with no real focus on any one genre, style, artist or method, but instead absorbing as many different influences & experiences as possible, and attempting to combine them all into some sort meaningful expression.
GNOSIS:
