Welcome to my Offical Myspace page. I was born in Cape Verde, but migrated with my family to Portugal at an early age. I grew up in the Amadora district of Lisbon and started my career in junior football at Real De Massama before joining the youth set up at Sporting Lisbon. Manuel Fernandes, has been a friend of mine since childhood and we as a pair used to kick a ball about together on the streets of Lisbon. Im often compared with fellow international and Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo. In May 2007, Sporting and Manchester United agreed on an undisclosed fee for me to sign for the Manchester club. The fee is believed to be in the region of £17m, the alleged value of my release clause in my contract.
